(Sorry Onyx it is Not Liana, or anyone who you expect it to be, it is the reason I am staying as A Player, I am still an active Role player in the sim … And for you Onyx as an Owner of the sim to say you had nothing to do with plotting Liana’s death is a cheap cop out. You are a part owner you are heald to issues like this as all. I would assume you agreed to it all. Then if you did you are just as responsable as the ones who did. )) ]]]]

Player, i am soley responsible for the killing of Liana’s character in RP.Unfortunately she was asked to leave the SIM as a player. I personally asked for permission from Liana, to run with the scene. She agreed. Other admins were not aware of the scene details.

When a player has a chance of coming back, their characters are left in limbo, waiting for them. This includes all persons that feel the need to take a break, have real life issues to deal with, or are upset at the sim or the people in it and need to go away for a while to get their thoughts collected.

Those that are banned have no chance of coming back, and so their characters are written out of the story, one way or another. Whether they die or get married to the fat chicken-eating merchant on the Orion Princess doesn’t matter. Sometimes, their writing out makes the headlines, most often it does not. So, for those of you upset that the disappearance of a banned character was explained in a way that you don’t approve of, I have one simple word. Tough. Though I had nothing to do with the writing of Liana’s death, I stand by those that did write it.

As far as Lauri’s exposure of Julian’s Cylon character, she was dealt with in regards to it. As Lauri pointed out, Julian was offered a number of alternatives, not the least of which was a retcon. Julian elected to do away with the character and start up another one.))

First off, we don’t have all that many pilots. How many can we loose and still have any chance at all of pulling thru an attack? Now, I do NOT have an actual number to answer that question, but, I’ll stake an awful lot on it’s being a VERY low number. So many ppl are all up in arms over this issue. Well, just what will you all do if we have to sideline a few more pilots due to pregnancy, and the number that’s left to fly isn’t enough to stop the next attack? I’ll say right now what you’ll do: You’ll DIE. If we send out a force that’s too small, the toasters will mow right thru it, killing most if not all of the few pilots sent against them.

And, let me clarify something here. By ‘pilots’, I’m referring to both Viper AND Raptor pilots. When a viper gets nailed, it’s the raptor pilots who go out and bring that viper jockey back home to fly and fight again. Reduce the number of raptor pilots too far, and you’ll have to pull a viper pilot out of combat to fly SAR in our place, further reducing our defenses.

Now, I do NOT mean to down-play the importance of the fleet’s other combat elements. If the toasters get thru us in the air, and manage to board, then it’ll come down to the marines fighting them in the corridors. And again, that will come down to numbers. Reduce the number of marines available to repel the Cylons below a certain point, and it becomes just a matter of time until total defeat.

No pilots and no marines left equals no human race left. Is THAT what you’re all arguing to get? Are some of you so incredibly self-centered that you’ll actually put your so-called RIGHT to have children above the very preservation of our whole species? If any of you answer yes to that… may all the gods and goddesses have mercy on you, because I won’t!

People! You’re acting as tho this contraception order is a sterilization decree! It isn’t! The shot will either prevent pregnancy for a certain TEMPORARY period of time, or be reversible. Gods, anyone in a combat unit who’s having sex and has any common sense is already using contraception! Frak it… Even if you’re celibate, with things as screwed up as they are, you could still be raped and get pregnant.

Gods… We’re fighting for our very SURVIVAL here! We need to do anything and everything we can to keep our defenses as strong as possible. Just sit and think a bit about what happens if we don’t…

OOC: Hey Everyone. Read what onyx wrote in Response #1. We’re all here doing BSG ROLE PLAYING! We sometimes get so caught up in dealing with missions and attacks that we tend to overlook the chance to RP some social issues. Well, we’ve just had a big one dropped right into our laps. So, what are we gonna do? I say lets take it and play with it. But, above all, lets PLEASE keep in mind that we’re playing characters here. What happens between THEM, shouldn’t mess up the RL friendships and bonds that we’ve all developed.

“if you are concerend with how our characters act? Does this apply to you Admins owners and moderators as well? Lets look at what you all have Done? you killed off IC a person who got removed from the Sim to explain why she is gone IC?. Where is Lauri the Cylon, are you willing to do the same for her or even security cheif Ronon? or Cobb?”

Lauri the Cylon is pregnant with (or has by now likely given birth to) a hybrid child, and has been off-duty for quite a while. Representative Ronon Maximus has likely been with her for most of this time. I’d venture to suggest that Lauri the Cylon has been confined to quarters or sickbay on Pacifica, and Ronon stays close by her or commutes to the battlestar regularly. Neither of the players permanently left the game, but are taking an extended break from it for personal reasons.

Look at Smoke, Lauri did and she said deal with it? what did you do to her? so are you all willing to hold to this Standard?”

Onyx was not on the Admin team when this occurred. Smoke was provided with an explanation and public apology, and offered ways to move forward from the incident without undue disruption, along with Eyea (who was also affected by the incident). Eyea took the IC path and remained in play, Smoke took the OOC path and left the game. I was largely supported by the Admin team of the day, and stayed on until the OOC drama smothered the IC roleplay.

And by the way, I had nothing to do with plotting your character’s death ICly. kthx, bye! ))
